A few weeks back I posted a fingerstyle chord melody arrangement of a Herbie Hancock’s …Cantaloupe Island. I know a lot of you really enjoyed it and requested more in that funky 60s style. So as a follow up, in this weeks lesson I want to teach you another classic by Herbie from his Blue Note era…Watermelon Man.
It’s an easy I-IV-V blues progression but lot’s of fun to play! You can even solo over it using any traditional blues resources you’ve learned in the past.

The Watermelon Man Files can be downloaded for $7.50. Your contribution is much appreciated, as it helps support the site and allows me to keep investing the long hours required to produce these lessons.
