Watermelon Man
A few weeks back I posted a fingerstyle chord melody arrangement of a Herbie Hancock’s …Cantaloupe Island. I know a lot of you really enjoyed it and requested more in that funky 60s style. So as a follow up, in this weeks lesson I want to teach you another classic by Herbie from his Blue Note era…Watermelon Man.
It’s an easy I-IV-V blues progression but lot’s of fun to play! You can even solo over it using any traditional blues resources you’ve learned in the past.
