Solar – Chord Melody
If you’ve ever wanted to understand how jazz harmony works , as well as what scales to employ in order to improvise over your favorite standards, there is a lot you can learn here.
For our first episode I have chosen a 12 measure standard. I am referring to “Solar” by Miles Davis. And believe me when I say there is a lot to learn within this short tune!

Will do, thanks!
Can’t Get my purchased solar package
Pete, please send me an email to jazzguitar@richiezellon.com with all your purchase info (email, username) so I can find you in the system and see what is going on. Thx
An excellent lesson. While the chord melody is not difficult to play, it throws up a mass of material that brilliantly explains what you intuitively already know. Well worth continuing on a regular basis.
Thanks for your valuable feedback Douglas!
