Billie’s Bounce

by | Chord Melody

If you’re not familiar with my music background, in my teens I was into rock and mainly blues for almost 10 years before getting into jazz and formally pursuing music studies. Who knows, this might be your case too as it is with many current jazz guitarists! But I mention this because this video features a finger-style arrangement through which I revisit my roots, and pay tribute to some of my early influences. On the acoustic blues side, namely Robert Johnson and Mississippi John Hurt, and on the jazz side, none other than Charlie Parker who wrote this piece…Billie’s Bounce.
