In this lesson I teach you some fresh new ways of playing chord melody over one of the most popular standards…Autumn Leaves.

Even if you aren’t comfortable playing the chord melody arrangement, you can use these new changes to accompany others playing the melody!

Finally, let me add that this lesson also doubles as a master class in applying the dominant tritone substitution principle in all its variations. After watching me demonstrate in vivid detail the procedure I employed to reharmonize the tune, you should gain insight on how to apply these principles to any other standard of your choice!
