What A Wonderful World
For my last post for 2022, in view of the crazy state of our world, I should have probably posted a chord melody for “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” (lol). But like John Lennon sang, “I’m a Dreamer”, and so I chose to end the year on a positive note! Instead I put together a fingerstyle arrangement of a beautiful ballad most of us associate with Louis Armstrong…“What a Wonderful World”.
This arrangement features my favorite elements from the worlds of jazz and classical guitar. That is, a mix of lush harmony and counterpoint at a very slow tempo which in turn will allow you to fully savor all the inner lines. The video is just under 3 minutes, so please be sure to check it out!
