Alone Together Chord Melody

by | Chord Melody

This chord melody lesson is over one of my all time favorite standards: Alone Together ! I fell in love with this piece after first hearing it played as a duet by Jim Hall & Ron Carter. However for my rendition, since Ron wasn’t available to play with me (lol), I created a fingerstyle solo arrangement featuring some unique chord voicings over a cool walking bass line (not quite “Ron”, but it works).

The bridge features some interesting “baroque” style counterpoint which I find conceptually lends itself to most medium swing tunes. Enjoy!
