“Just The Way You Are” Chord Melody
A chord melody lesson of a gorgeous tune which you’re most likely familiar with…”Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel. This is considered one of the “new standards” and features all the usual jazz harmony we’d find in any of the classics from yesteryear. To make it more interesting as a solo guitar fingerstyle piece, I’ve even included some other influences in my arrangement, such as Travis picking (a la Chet Atkins), and some classical guitar concepts.
